Founder and Executive Director: Charlotte Cohen

My name is Charlotte Cohen (she/her), I’m a senior at Ethical Culture Fieldston School in NYC, and I am the Founder and Executive Director of Buddy System. I am deeply devoted to the mental and physical health of adolescents, and strive to make a positive change for as many individuals as possible. Additionally, I use this platform to help destigmatize eating disorders and create a community for people who struggle with anything eating related.

Outreach Director: Faye Setiawan

My name is Faye (she/her), I’m a senior at Dulwich College in Singapore. As someone who has struggled with eating disorders in the past, I am beyond honoured to be part of this project to remind people that wanting to be someone else is a waste of time.

Forum Manager: Gal Shem-Tov

Hi! I’m Gal Shem-Tov (she/her), I began high school in Eliat Isreal, however, now I’m a senior at Gulf Coast High School in Florida. I am the Forum Manager, and am so happy to be able to help bring people together. I’ve always believed that through other people we learn our most important lessons, and I hope that everyone participating in the buddy system can make that statement come to life.

Social Media Strategist: Sydney Pessin

My name is Sydney Pessin (she/her), I’m a senior at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in New York City, and am the Social Media Strategist. I am very passionate about spreading body positivity and with my position I am able to do exactly that.

Co- Event Director: Talia Gold

My name is Talia Gold (she/her), I’m a junior at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in NYC, and am the Co-Event Director. I’m excited to be a part of Buddy System because of my passion for mental health, wellness and helping others feel like their best selves.

Event Co-Director: Maddy Finster

My name is Maddy Finster! I am from Pelham, NY and I am a senior at Pelham Memorial HS. My pronouns are she/her. I am excited to be a part of this program because I feel it is important for everyone to feel confident with their bodies as well as with themselves!
